Pineapple blues

Transporting farm produce could sometimes prove to be an audacious task. A few miles from the Atlantic ocean on the west African coastline, I observed the extra effort made by transporters to ensure that perishable items such as pineapples are delivered to the market at the most cost effective way. How else would we prevent waste anyway?

Biafra currency spotted

"Oga, I get change for all currency. I even get am for Biafra pounds..." What? my ears stood up straight like that of an Alsatian dog. I asked the bureau de change operator if he was joking about that. 'Sir, we dey change am all the time here'. I was amazed such that I asked him for the value. When next you are in Togo or Benin Republic, ask. View the photo below.

Sights and Sound of Makoko, Lagos

A volunteer trip tagged 'Grace Project' revealed the other side of extreme living conditions in a section of Lagos that has become home to thousands. Ironically, just across the Lagoon from Makoko is Banana Island; a billionaire's haven.
